The popular event begins August 29 and runs weekends through October 25.

Calling all Lords and Ladies! Don’t miss your chance to attend the popular Maryland Renaissance Festival. Tickets for the 2026 festival go on sale July 27 at 10 a.m.

The festival kicks off on August 29, with nine weekends full of feasting and merriment. Every year, the event invokes a new storyline. This year is the festival’s 50th anniversary, so the storyline is 1540: The King’s new marriage & the 50th Harvest Festival.

About the Maryland Renaissance Festival

The festival is located on Crownsville Road in Anne Arundel County, just outside of Annapolis. Taking place on 27 acres, the Village of Revel Grove comes to life with more than 140 artisans exhibiting their crafts. Crafters sell a variety of metal, wood, and leather work, plus sculptures, jewelry, clothing, stained glass, and ceramics.

You’ll also find more than 200 performers across 10 stages, and the village filled with stilt walkers, beggars, hermits, and wenches.

The taverns sell all sorts of savory foods, including turkey legs, steak on a stake, and chicken on a lance. Sweet treats include hot apple dumplings, berry muffins, Italian ices, and milkshakes.

Entertainment includes minstrels, magicians, musicians, and jugglers. The jousting troupe features horses, men in armor, chariots, and trick riding.

To get in the true spirit of the Renaissance, costume rentals are available.
