All American Steakhouse
This is the second time this year All American Steakhouse has closed, but this time, it looks like it won’t reopen, according to The Burn. The landlord is reportedly still working with the restaurant’s owners on a deal, but a new steakhouse could take its place. 43145 Broadlands Center Plz., Ste. 103, Ashburn
Alta Strada
There’s one less Italian restaurant in Mosaic District. After nearly 10 years in business, Alta Strada announced it was permanently closing due to rent increases. 2911 District Ave., Ste. 150, Fairfax
Corso Italian
An August flood has caused this Italian favorite to permanently close. Corso and its predecessor, wine and cheese shop Cheesetique, had operated in Shirlington for a combined 15 years. 4024 Campbell Ave., Arlington
Ebisu Sushi & Thai
After temporarily closing earlier this year, Ebisu Sushi & Thai permanently closed, according to The Burn. The restaurant originally opened in January 2025. 101 S. King St., Leesburg
Farm & Fork Kitchen
After nearly four years in business, chef Jorge Chicas’ Ashburn eatery has closed its doors, according to The Burn. Farm & Fork Kitchen was named to Northern Virginia Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2023. 42755 Creek View Plz., Ste. 100, Ashburn
Granite Heights Winery
This boutique winery’s owners are retiring and closing their tasting room after 18 years. Granite Heights Winery will remain open until all wine cases are sold; it’s expected to close by the end of the year. 8141 Opal Rd., Warrenton
Los Tios Grill
Fans of Los Tios Grill’s Tex-Mex and Salvadorean eats in Arlington will need to find a new go-to spot. The restaurant permanently closed after seven years in business, according to ARLNow. The restaurant’s fans can still order their favorites at one of the eatery’s other NoVA locations in Alexandria and Leesburg. 515 23rd St. S., Arlington
Matchbox
Another Matchbox location closed over the summer. The Mosaic District restaurant is set to undergo renovations before being replaced by Makers Union, another Thompson Restaurant concept. 2911 District Ave., Ste. 120, Fairfax
Meanwhile Coffee
The comic book-inspired coffee shop closed after just 17 months in service. Located in the Woodland Park Crossing shopping center, Meanwhile Coffee announced it would be closing at the end of August. The owners told its followers rising costs had led to their decision to close. 2309 Woodland Crossing Dr., Herndon
Mister Days
This iconic Clarendon bar is set to close after its owner, Bobby Lee, died at the age of 87, according to ARLNow. Mister Days had originally opened in 1977 in Georgetown before moving to Arlington. The bar closed for five years before reopening in 2024. 1101 N. Highland St., Arlington
Noodles & Company
The chain pasta restaurant has been closing a handful of locations across the U.S. this year, and that also includes eateries in Herndon and Leesburg. 2405 Centreville Rd., Herndon; 1607 Village Market Blvd. SE, Leesburg
Not Your Average Joe’s
This Massachusetts-based chain officially closed its Reston restaurant on July 15 after a decade in business, according to FFXNow. One NoVA location of Not Your Average Joe’s remains open in Woodbridge. 11845 Fountain Dr., Reston
Ornery Beer Company
Ornery Beer Company closed its Fairfax City location on July 26. The brewery told fans it needed to “scale back our operations to meet today’s market realities.” Craft beer fans can still visit the brewery’s Herndon brewpub and Bristow taproom. 3950 University Dr., Ste. 106, Fairfax
Preservation Biscuit Company
Biscuit lovers have a few days left to savor this Falls Church favorite. After more than five years in business, Preservation Biscuit announced it will be closing after Sunday, September 27. 102 E. Fairfax St., Falls Church
Roy Rogers
Roy Rogers’ East Market Street location is closing, according to The Burn. Four Roy Rogers NoVA locations remain, including a one located at 451 S. King St. in Leesburg. 540 E. Market St., Leesburg
Rus Uz
Known for its Russian and Uzbek cuisine, this former 50 Best Restaurant closed one of its locations at the end of August. The owners of Rus Uz decided to close the Alexandria restaurant once the lease ended on August 31, according to ALXNow. The restaurant will still be operating its locations in Arlington and Washington, DC. 210 Hoffman St., Alexandria
Taco Chinoz
Taco Chinoz is no longer serving the Sterling community. The restaurant closed up shop in June, according to The Burn. The fusion restaurant is still serving its Korean and Mexican favorites in Alexandria and Centreville. 20921 Davenport Dr., Ste. 131, Sterling
Vivi Bubble Tea
After two years in Vienna, Vivi Bubble Tea closed at the end of August. Bubble tea lovers can still visit the store’s Fairfax location. 233 Maple Ave. E., Vienna
WineStyles
The wine shop and tasting room served its last customer on July 31. But a new wine shop, Sip & Shop Sellars, is set to take over the South Riding storefront, according to The Burn. 25031 Riding Plz., Ste. 110, Chantilly
