Twins Ace Hardware Is Opening New Crystal City Location

The locally owned store will be located at JBG Smith’s new tower, The Zoe.

Crystal City will soon have a new hardware store. Twins Ace Hardware is opening a new store on the ground floor of JBG Smith’s new National Landing residential tower, The Zoe. The hardware store, owned and operated by Jeff Smith, will occupy all 8,116 square feet of the residential building’s ground-floor retail space.

The store is expected to open this fall at 2051 S. Bell St., Arlington. Twins Ace will offer home improvement essentials like paint, gardening supplies, and home goods. It will also supply home repair services.

“Twins Ace is so much more than a hardware store,” said Smith, a second-generation Ace owner/operator. “We’ve worked hard to build a neighborhood destination where people can find everything from tools and paint to unique gifts, party supplies, plants, and more. We couldn’t be more excited to bring that same spirit of service and connection to the growing community at National Landing.”

Twins Ace’s first location, on Clarendon Boulevard, has been open in Arlington since 2016 and has ranked as a Pinnacle store, the highest level awarded by Ace Hardware. The National Landing location will be its second store.

The Zoe is a 19-floor, 420-unit residential tower in National Landing with floor plans ranging from studios to two-bedrooms.

This development is part of continued growth and development in the National Landing area, which is home to Amazon’s headquarters and Virginia Tech’s new Innovation Campus. In addition to The Zoe, JBG Smith has also recently developed nearby residential towers at The Grace and Reva. Those buildings house even more retail and dining options including Bar Chinois, Flight Wine Shop, and Bar Colline.
