Amazon Fresh has officially opened its latest grocery store in Falls Church, marking the 10th location in the Washington, DC, metro area.

Located in Bailey’s Crossroads, the new store offers a modern, convenient, and affordable shopping experience. The store chain is known for having a wide selection of fresh produce, national brands, and Amazon’s own private-label offerings.

Grand Opening

The store opened its doors to the public on December 12, beginning with a grand opening ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Festivities included a ribbon-cutting with remarks from Amazon Fresh Store manager Ted Pitt and other community leaders.

“We’re thrilled to open our newest Amazon Fresh grocery store right here in the heart of Bailey’s Crossroads,” said Doug Chamberlin, regional manager of Amazon Fresh. “We’re excited for customers to see our wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce, and curated array of their favorite local items and fresh-prepared meals.”

This store joins five other NoVA locations in Alexandria, Fairfax, Franconia, Lorton, and Manassas.

Store Features

The store spans 40,000 square feet. When shopping in store, customers can use Amazon Dash Carts, which scan and weigh groceries as you shop, and pay with Amazon One, Amazon’s palm recognition technology. The store also offers fast grocery delivery and pickup options for those who prefer to shop from home.

Besides familiar national brands, the Falls Church location will also offer Amazon’s private-label brands such as Aplenty, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Saver, and 365 by Whole Foods. There will also be a selection of regional brands such as Tessemae’s salad dressings, Smithfield meats, and True Made Foods condiments and spice rubs.

For those who want to simplify meal planning, the store offers a variety of ready-to-eat meals like take-and-bake pizzas, sandwiches, and wraps.

Amazon Fresh Falls Church is also partnering with Capital Area Food Bank to donate surplus food.
