Art lovers mark your calendars: The Capital One Center Celebration of the Arts is returning for its second year. The event will be an outdoor, multi-block festival with workshops, live performances, and a local artisan market. It’s set to run September 19 from noon to 6 p.m. and September 20 from noon to 5 p.m.
The event includes a live “Battle of the Arts” competition and a pop-up “Art Bark” for dogs. There will also be kid-friendly activities.
Celebration of the Arts is presented by Capital One Arts and the Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art. The Tephra ICA is the same organization that hosts Reston’s annual arts festival each spring.
