Although Northern Virginia’s housing market was subject to uncertainty throughout 2025, it didn’t stop home prices from increasing — especially for the region’s luxury market. These are the most expensive Northern Virginia homes sold in 2025, according to Homes.com.

$27.508 million: 6501 Bright Mountain Rd., McLean
This nearly $30 million home is a new build in the Langley Farms community. The six-bedroom, 13-bathroom Bright Mountain Estate sits on 5.3 acres of tree-covered land, giving its owners the ultimate private abode. Throughout the halls of the more than 21,000-square-foot home you’ll find an overabundance of luxury details for amenities, including floating fireplaces, 28-foot vaulted ceilings, a cinema, wine cellar, and heated pool.

$22 million: 6431 Georgetown Pk., McLean
This McLean home is technically one of the most expensive homes twice. It originally sold in August 2025 for $18.5 million — then re-sold again for $22 million in October. The French-inspired McLean estate features 10 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. The elegant interiors, entertaining spaces, and outdoor waterfalls and gardens will make you feel like you’ve stepped foot in France without leaving Northern Virginia.

$20 million: 7500 Ironwood Ln., Warrenton
Located on 1,482 acres, this 250-year-old Georgian-style manor provides endless views of Fauquier County’s rolling hills. The 22-bedroom home is protected by a conservation easement with the Virginia Outdoor Foundation and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
$17.5 million: 1150 Chain Bridge Rd., McLean
Enjoy a little bit of New England right in McLean’s Langley Farms neighborhood. The timeless design, which was included in Architectural Digest, was a part of a near rebuilding of the home. It was led by Boston interior designer William Lewis Hodgins. The home’s renovation continued to the outdoor space, including an in-ground pool, tea house, rose gardens, and koi pond.

$14.05 million: 1260 Crest Ln., McLean
Clear Potomac River views along McLean’s Gold Coast are one of the main draws of this eight-bedroom home. Built in 1973, this French-style estate features an antique marble fireplace, sunlit solarium, and patio with unmatched nature views.
$11.2 million: 1113 Langley Ln., McLean
This castle-esque home was built in 2009, but it’s steeped with history. For example, the exterior was built from field stone found along the Oregon Trail. Inside the estate, old-world accents include barn wood beams, reclaimed Provencal terra cotta, and a circa floor-to-ceiling hand-carved fireplace. Though vintage accents are abundant, modern luxuries can still be found throughout the 16,000-square-foot home, like a two-story library, sprouts court, and media and game room.

$10.75 million: 2227 Penny Ln., The Plains
Built in 1938, the home on this 435-acre property was designed by architect William Lawrence Bottomley. The 8,000-square-foot home offers panoramic views of Bull Run and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Inside, the estate also includes a paneled library, banquet-sized dining room, and private office. As you explore the grounds, you’ll find a guest house, 60-foot pool, equestrian facilities, and a custom greenhouse.

$9.3 million: 1004 Dogue Hill Ln., McLean
Once T.J. Oshie retired from the Washington Capitals, his McLean home hit the market. The Langley Farms property sold in a little over two months, and it’s easy to see why. Built in 2021, the European-inspired home features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and 11,400 square feet. The home’s outdoor space was meant for entertaining with a two-level patio overlooking the in-ground pool, a built-in fireplace, and putting green.

$9.2 million: 410 Chain Bridge Rd., McLean
McLean’s Gold Coast was in high demand in 2025. This McLean home features four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, and natural light that envelopes nearly the entire 8,367-square-foot blueprint. The 25-foot ceilings and Swarovski Crystal chandelier in the great room, custom Boffi Italian cabinets, and waterfall infinity-edge saltwater pool are just a few of its design accents. And, while it isn’t located on the waterfront of the Potomac, the property does include a waterfall.

$8.7 million: 6727 Lucy Ln., McLean
This home, which was one of the most expensive homes sold in 2024, hit the market again in 2025. The contemporary Tudor was previously home to former Washington Nationals pitcher and World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg. He listed the property in June 2024. The home was built by Artisan Builders in 2020 and includes six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and a four-car garage. Further customizations include an in-ground pool with a fully stacked pool house, golf simulator, theater room, and a professional gym.
