For those who haven’t been to a bakery lately, here are some new options to satisfy your passion for pastries.

The number of new bakery cafés is rising in Northern Virginia as folks dash in for glorious pastries, light meals, and coffee. Here are seven where you can satisfy your next indulgent craving. 

Falls Church 

Godfrey’s Bakery & Café 

Godfrey’s baked goods look mouthwatering. The bakery uses old-world, artisanal techniques and farm-fresh ingredients to create wholesome and flavorful fare. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this inviting spot, complete with a diverse menu — tempting sandwiches, quiches, salads, and pizzas. 421 W. Broad St., Falls Church

Herndon 

Chiboo

Reston 

Tatte Bakery and Café

Tatte Bakery and Café’s newest outpost comes to Reston Town Center, offering a breakfast all day menu, including sumptuous baked goods, quiches, egg dishes, sandwiches, tartines, and soups. The Boston-based baker will offer weekend brunch as well, with not just the usual suspects on its eclectic menu. 11910 Market St., Reston Town Center

Springfield 

Best Buns Bakery and Burgers

You’ll find some mouthwatering options at the newest location of this bakery. Not only does it sell baked goods, like cookies, Danish, chocolate hazelnut biscotti, and monkey bread, it has made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and burgers. 6119A Backlick Rd., Springfield 

Vienna 

Tango Pastry Café
