Gogi 92 Is Bringing High-End Korean Barbecue To Leesburg

Bulgogi and galbi are making their debut at the Village at Leesburg.

Jake Pak wants you to know that Gogi 92 Korean Barbecue is not all-you-can-eat. “Korean barbecue was never meant to be all-you-can-eat,” he opines. And he should know. The restaurant-industry lifer is a native of Korea and has owned Japanese restaurant Noku in the Village at Leesburg for close to a decade.

Now, he’s recruited chef Brad Lee from New York specifically for his expertise with meat. “The quality of the meat is very important,” Pak says, adding that Lee’s skills with butchery are part of what will distinguish the restaurant. When it comes to beef, every cut will come from Angus cattle. And although there will be no bottomless dining, committed trenchermen will find plenty of ways to fill up. Pak says that the menu includes six combos, which are filled with all the KBBQ classics, from galbi and bulgogi to spicy pork and jumbo tiger shrimp.

Pak says that his opening announcement is pending the completion of final inspections, but he expects to be open by the end of this month or very early in May. Gogi 92 will be open daily from 2 p.m. until 10 or 11 p.m.// 1600 Village Market Blvd. SE, H-112, Leesburg
