Wicked: For Good, the sequel to last year’s hit musical fantasy film, is out in theaters November 21. Across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, several bars, restaurants, and movie theaters are celebrating the highly anticipated release with themed events, food and drink specials, and more.

Wicked Drag Brunch at King & Rye

November 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Head to King & Rye for a drag brunch that’s “filled with glitz, green, and gravity-defying performances.” Dress in theme and be ready for themed cocktails. King & Rye: 480 King St., Alexandria, $30 and $25 food and drink minimum

Emerald Evening at Honor Brewing Company

November 18, 6:30 p.m.

Honor Brewing Co. will celebrate the new film with a “wickedly wonderful ladies night” that includes a screening of Wicked, a “Pots for Poppies” painting activity, and light charcuterie. One drink is included in the ticket price. Honor Brewing Co: 42604 Trade West Dr., Sterling, $45

Wicked: For Good with DJ Hammy

November 21, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Shipgarten is pulling out all the stops with its Wicked-themed party. The event will have a DJ, specialty cocktails inspired by Glinda and Elphaba, and photo-ops with characters from the movie. Shipgarten: 7541 Colshire Dr., McLean

Wicked: For Good Movie Party at Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas

November 22, 10:40 a.m. and 11:40 a.m.

The Alamo goes over-the-top with this watch party. There’s a costume contest, and each guest gets a bag of goodies like a Grimmerie notebook, a bubble bath mixer and loofah, a wind-up butterfly to release during the film, and more. Plus, themed cocktails and food are available to order right to your seat. 20575 Easthampton Plz., Ashburn; 15200 Potomac Town Pl., Ste. 100, Woodbridge

Wickedly Good Brunch at Cynthia

November 22 and 23

Gaia Music Collective One-Day Choir

November 28, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Want to belt out your favorite song from the soundtrack? Gaia Music Collective invites guests to gather together in an informal choir to sing “For Good” — no auditions required. There will be sheet music and vocal recordings available about a week before the event so you can learn the parts in advance. George Washington Masonic National Memorial: 101 Callahan Dr., Alexandria, $25 suggested donation

Wickellan’s at McClellan’s Retreat

Through November

McClellan’s retreat is offering a full menu of Wicked-themed cocktails all month long. Try the Glinda’s Goblet, a pink vodka-based drink with yuzu liqueur and strawberry cordial, or the green Elphaba’s Elixir, with pandan coconut cream, gin, lime, and orange juice. With the Yellow Brick Road Challenge, you can pick up a punch card and mark off the drinks you try. The first 30 people to order all six Wickellan’s cocktails, plus one happy-hour drink, get invited to McClellan’s Wicked: For Good movie party on November 23.
