Car enthusiasts will once again flock to Middleburg for a display of rare vintage automobiles — but this time, a new event will capture their attention. The first Rallye Middleburg on October 18 will include 25 vintage cars and culminate in a celebratory street festival.
Vintage cars have been a Middleburg fall tradition since 2019, when the 1000 Miglia Warm Up race first arrived in the town. Since that event will not happen this year, Rallye Middleburg will keep the spirit of automobile enthusiasm alive in Middleburg.
The Rallye is not a race; it’s a “non-competitive lapping day and social event on a race track.” The event will include vehicles dated from the pre–WWII era to the early 1970s. They will lap around the track at Summit Motorsports Park.
The cars will also participate in a rally through Loudoun County before arriving in downtown Middleburg for a street festival. The event begins at 7 a.m. at the Summit Motorsports Park, then the rally begins at 2 p.m. The finish line will be on Federal Street.
The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. and will include food, drinks, and a vintage car show. Visitors are encouraged to dress in vintage clothes from the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s, and there will be prizes awarded for the best outfits.
An afterparty will take place at Nomad Bourbon Bar from 6:40 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a chance to meet drivers including Andretti IndyCar driver Marcus Ericsson and Formula DRIFT driver Nate Chen.
