Tour de Cookie
Tour de Cookie bike ride begins at the Johns Hopkins Campus in Rockville. Four different routes—from 12 to 43 miles—involve stopping at multiple cookie stands along the way. Each has a theme. Tour de Cookie raises funds for The Tree House, a nonprofit dedicated to healing victims of child abuse.
The Pedal Saloon
The Pedal Saloon is a group-cycling vehicle where participants pedal in tandem between Arlington bars. This unique pub crawl is especially popular with groups, but individuals can join daily expeditions around Arlington (a minimum of six people are required). The two-hour tour stops at four bars (after 9 p.m.).
DC Tweed Ride
The annual DC Tweed Ride is a bike event at a secret, undisclosed location where cyclists revisit pedaling from a bygone era. Hosted by the Dandies and Quaintrelles—people who dress up in vintage clothing for social events—the 10-mile ride stops at a local bar, and ends with a full-on party.
Last Weekend Brunch Adventure Ride
Last Weekend Brunch Adventure Ride is hosted by the Reston Bike Club. Every month, the club selects a challenging trek, often on the W&OD Trail, with a brunch location at the terminus. Riders find out where the ride begins only after signing up. Non-riding spouse/partner/friends are welcome to meet the group at brunch.
