Here are the can’t-miss shows coming to Wolf Trap in 2020

One of Northern Virginia’s favorite concert venues doesn’t slow down during the colder months. Plus, a look ahead to the summer lineup.

During the summer months, Wolf Trap’s green lawn is full of people, picnic baskets and blankets as beautiful music from a variety of performers fills the air. And, in the winter months, the fun is taken inside at The Barns at Wolf Trap.

Here’s a list of our favorite acts coming to The Barns in January and February, and a sneak peek at who’s performing in summer 2020, below.

Can’t-Miss Winter Acts

Masters of Hawaiian Music
Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m.
You may be ready for an island vacation, but there’s no need to hop on a plane to escape to Hawaii. Instead, head to The Barns for a show by some of the top talent in Hawaiian music. You’ll be feeling sunny and breezy before the night’s end. // $27-$32

Tanya Tucker
Wednesday, Feb. 5, 8 p.m.
Making her Wolf Trap debut, Tanya Tucker will sing hits old and new. Tucker recently released her first album in 17 years, called While I’m Livin’. She has over 50 Top 10 hits and has been nominated for four Grammy awards. // $47-$67

Art Garfunkel
Friday, Feb. 7, 8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 8, 8 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m.
American music icon Art Garfunkel will come back to Wolf Trap for three shows full of his memorable songs, both from his solo career and from his time in folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. // $82-$97

1964: The Tribute
Thursday, Feb. 20, 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 21, 8 p.m.
If you haven’t seen 1964: The Tribute, featuring the best songs from The Beatles, then what are you waiting for? This group does the popular ’60s band justice with both their costumes, energy and talent musical performances. // $40-$44

Summer Show

Each year, fans of Wolf Trap eagerly await the announcements of who will be named to the venue’s 2020 lineup. While shows are still in the works, several have already been announced. Below, find the full schedule, as of Dec. 20, and note that Wolf Trap members can begin buying tickets to the summer shows on Monday, Feb. 10, and the general public can begin purchasing tickets on Saturday, Feb. 22.

May 30: Yacht Rock Revue

June 3: Celtic Woman

June 4: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Very Special Guest David Crosby

June 5 and 6: Beautiful – The Carole King Musical

June 12 and 13: The SpongeBob Musical

June 16: Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) – The Hong Kong Ballet

June 18, 19, 20 and 21: Riverdance

June 26: John Prine & Emmylou Harris

June 27: Black Violin 

July 10 and 11: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in concert with the National Symphony Orchestra

July 14: Straight No Chaser 

July 17: Star Spangled Symphony – National Symphony Orchestra

July 19: Chick Corea & The Spanish Heart Band 

July 31: The Princess Bride in concert with the National Symphony Orchestra

Aug. 7: Puccini’s La bohème – Wolf Trap Opera 

Aug. 9: ABBA The Concert

Aug. 12: Yo-Yo Ma’s Goat Rodeo Sessions 

Aug. 15: David Gray – White Ladder: The 20th Anniversary Tour 

Sept. 6: Australian Pink Floyd Show
