The King Arthur Baking Company is officially closing its pop-up store in Fairfax Corner. The shop will serve its last customer on June 25.
The pop-up shop first opened in September 2024 and was originally slated to close in July 2025. However, King Arthur extended its stay twice, announcing in February that it would remain open until June 2026.
The pop-up sells ingredients, appliances, and pre-made baking mixes. The Fairfax location will host a closing sale from June 15 to 25, with special savings on baking essentials.
The Fairfax storefront is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 11948 Grand Commons Ave., Fairfax
Alexandria Location
The company confirmed in October that a permanent store will be opening in Old Town, Alexandria. This will be King Arthur’s second location to include a shop and baking school. The first was the brand’s flagship store in Norwich, Vermont.
Guests will be able to take baking classes and purchase baking tools, ingredients, and more. It is expected to open in fall 2026 at 615 King St.
