Get into the spirit with these Holi-DIY kits from The Village at Leesburg

Join Santa online as you decorate cookies, mix cocktails, make ornaments and bake pizzas together.

By Kelly Magyarics December 3, 2020 at 10:51 am

This year, even Santa is getting into the virtual spirit.

In its effort to promote its merchants and “Take Loudoun Home,” The Village at Leesburg is offering Holi-DIY kits with local shops. Participants can buy a kit from a participating restaurant or shop, then watch an online session with Santa completing the activity and follow along. Videos will be released on Saturday, Dec. 5 on the Village at Leesburg’s Facebook page, IGTV and YouTube channel; here is a sneak peek. Visit the merchants’ websites for info and to purchase these kits:

AR Workshop is offering sets of wood slice ornaments or classic wood ornaments from multiple collections to make your Christmas tree extra festive this year. Kits include all materials and instructions to make a set of six ornaments, including stencils, wood, a PrimARy Paint Essentials Kit and brushes. For details and to purchase visit their website.

Chocolate den The Conche has put together a Wild Winter Cocktail Kit, with ingredients and instructions to make up to four servings of a spirited libation that you can enjoy hot or chilled. The kit includes a 200ml bottle of Evan Williams Black Barrel Bourbon, 12-ounce bottle of Wegmans Cold Pressed Apple Cider, three lemons and separate ramekins filled with honey, salted caramel sauce, crumbled graham crackers and spices.

Hone your cookie decorating skills from a kit from Dana’s Cake Shoppe, who is providing all of the delicious ingredients and instructions for sweet treats. Choose from among two kits, each of which includes a dozen cookies and decorating supplies.

Before you settle onto the couch to watch a holiday special or two, bring home a ready-to-bake pizza kit from Wild Wood Pizza, which includes all ingredients to create your own signature pie. Each costs $6.50 for a 10-inch signature pizza, and $9 for a 14-inch signature pizza.
