Global Manufacturing Firm Moves Its Headquarters to Arlington

A marketing agency is also pulling up stakes in DC and moving to Fairfax.

Two companies, Cailabs US Inc. and SweetScience Marketing, have recently announced plans to move their operations to Northern Virginia. The news comes after global defense contractor American Rheinmetall and AT&T announced new NoVA office spaces as well.

Global Manufacturing Company Moves to Arlington

Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced that Cailabs US Inc., a subsidiary of the French company Cailabs SAS, is relocating its U.S. headquarters from DC to Arlington County. The company — which designs and manufactures advanced laser-light products — leased space at 1530 Wilson Blvd. in North Rosslyn.

Youngkin says the photonics company will invest $300,000 and create 16 new jobs in the Commonwealth. “Cailabs’ decision to relocate their U.S. headquarters to Virginia shows that the Commonwealth remains the premier location for global tech companies looking to expand their footprint in the Americas,” the governor said in a statement.

Marketing Firm Relocates to Fairfax

A second company is also making the move from DC to Northern Virginia. SweetScience Marketing is relocating its operations from The Wharf to George Mason University’s Mason Enterprise Center Fairfax. The office will be located in WillowWood Plaza at 10300 Eaton Pl., Ste. 440.

The firm’s relocation is supported by a Fairfax City Business Investment Grant through Fairfax City Economic Development.

“The support network here — from the team at Fairfax City Economic Development to the staff at the Mason Enterprise Center — has been actively working to connect us with partners, clients, and resources. The location is perfect for our business development goals, giving us easy access to the entire Northern Virginia market while keeping us close to DC,” Tom Conti, CEO of SweetScience Marketing said in a statement.
