Virginia Senate approves Amazon package, denies minimum wage hike; Manassas mosque aids furloughed feds

In two separate bills, Virginia’s State Senate approved the $750 million incentives package for Amazon’s HQ2 in Crystal City, while narrowly rejecting legislation that would increase the minimum wage to $15 in a vote that went down party lines.

A mosque in Manassas became a food bank on Monday where volunteers packaged hundreds of bags of food to help people in need, which, with the government shutdown now at 31 days, includes furloughed federal employees.

Starbucks will start to offer delivery services for its customers. Using the Uber Eats app, Starbucks says customers can access 95 percent of its menu. The delivery service will first roll out in San Francisco before expanding to other cities, which includes Washington, DC.
