Ikea has changed the dynamic of the bicycle with the unisex Sladda model. After designers followed cyclists around for three days, learning the intricacies of daily life using a bike, they came up with the latest item to hit Ikea stores. Receiving the Red Dot Design Award in the Best of the Best category and a 2016 Good Design Award in the sports and recreation category, the bike’s aluminum frame makes it easily accessible, whether carrying it up and down the stairs or on public transportation. You can trick out the Sladda with options like a front rack that can be used for extra space for carrying items, a trailer for transportation of heavier items, a bike bag with hooks attached that can convert to backpack, a helmet, U-lock and a bike pump. // Sladda bike, $499, accessories sold separately
