Taïm Mediterranean Kitchen, a fast-casual Mediterranean concept, has closed its Reston location just four months after its grand opening, FFXNow reported.

Taïm is a New York-based chain that specializes in falafel, pita sandwiches, and grain bowls. The Reston location, at 11692 Plaza American Dr., Reston, opened in December 2023.

“While the news of our closure is true, we are deeply saddened to no longer be a part of the Reston, Virginia community,” a spokesperson from the company said in an email. “We are refocusing our efforts to optimize growth in the NYC metro area, and do hope fans of Taïm will continue to enjoy our famous falafel and hummus at one of our existing (and coming soon) locations someday soon. We thank all of our guests for their continued love of Taïm!”

The Fairfax City location, which opened in August at 11011 U.S. 29, and the Falls Church location at 7502 Leesburg Pike are also permanently closed.

The restaurant’s website lists 13 locations, 12 of which are in the New York area. The nearest location is at 1514 Connecticut Ave., Washington, DC, in DuPont Circle.
