Arlington’s nightlife scene has a new addition. Latin supper club Cielo opens Tuesday, and promises craft cocktails, live entertainment, and plenty of late-night energy.

The 3,800-square-foot club is a decorated as a “heaven and hell” concept. Guests enter a lower level “inferno” room, which features a glowing red LED sign with a halo and horns. Upstairs, one side of the club is decorated in dark textures while the other has bright hues, greenery, and a DJ booth.

“Cielo is designed to pull you in,” owner Michael Sina said in a release. “You come for dinner, but the idea is that you stay for the energy, the music, the cocktails, and the feeling of discovering something unexpected. Inspired by my wife’s Latin heritage, we wanted to create a space that feels warm and alive — something Clarendon hasn’t experienced before.”

The bar serves mezcal- and tequila-forward cocktails as well as new takes on classic drinks. Led by Executive Chef Daniel Lozano, the menu includes a coffee-rubbed tomahawk steak with smoked paprika sea salt, chermoula, and romesco sauce; Venezuelan-style braised short ribs served with sweet-and-sour tomato jam; and crispy yuca croquettes topped with spicy tuna, fresh chives, and herb oil.
Cielo will offer live entertainment on most evenings. The club also plans to launch weekend brunch later this summer. 1137 N. Highland St., Arlington
