Maybe you’re celebrating a birthday. Maybe you’re just tired of cooking day in and day out. Whatever the reason, you and your family want, nay, need takeout. Here are some of the best meals you can order in our region, sized for the whole crew.
Blue Duck Tavern
Live in Arlington? Want a Michelin-worthy dinner? Order the whole roasted duck, pasture-raised chicken, or 18-hour braised short ribs from this fine dining establishment, which delivers to a sliver of NoVA using DoorDash Drive.
Clyde’s
For groups of four, Clyde’s has come up with reasonably priced family four packs. Meals include Maine lobsters, jumbo crab cakes, roasted chicken, or oven-baked salmon, all served with sides, salad, and bread and butter.
Feast by Nina May
Another fancy DC restaurant delivers to NoVA, but this one will drop off food anywhere within 25 miles of Logan Circle. September menus (sized for two, so just order double or triple for a group) included multi-course meat and fish dinners as well as gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Lebanese Taverna
A feast from the Middle East tonight? You don’t need to live near the Tysons location to get it, thanks to neighborhood drop-offs all over the state. It makes it exceptionally easy to feast on everything from shawarma to garlic-and-lemon roast chicken.
Liberty Tavern
In need of a week’s worth of dinners? This Arlington favorite does something different (and sized for four) every night. Meals range from homey fried chicken on Monday or lasagna on Tuesday to prime rib on Sunday night.
Taco Bamba
Prepare Your Oven Kits are perfect if you’re craving Mexican. Choose your taco fillings, including tinga, barbacoa, carnitas, and spicy ’shroom, then get ready to build your own with 20 corn tortillas and fresh pico de gallo.
Thompson Italian
Willing to do a little bit of cooking yourself? The meals to cook at home here are a steal. Dishes like rigatoni and spaghetti alla chitarra are just $12 for four people. There are also pre-made Super Trays filled with everything from watermelon panzanella salad to eggplant Parm. You never know what will pop up on the family meal menu — last week it was a shrimp, short rib or mushroom fajitas.
