Remember the new brunch we wrote about at TTT Clarendon? It’s now worth sticking around for Sundays. But it also makes sense to stop in on Friday and Saturday nights at the casual Mexican restaurant. Diners sitting on both the first floor and third floor TTT Rooftop will be treated to live DJ performances via projections on a large screen starting September 4.
The DJ will be spinning a playlist designed especially for TTT in real time from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m., right after brunch. The screen on the roof is 150 feet, big enough to catch the performance from anywhere you dine. Downstairs, it’s a 190-foot retractable screen. DJs will be supplied by entertainment company Pelonkey.
“The sonic landscape at TTT will be upbeat, eclectic, feel-good music brought to you by DJs from all over the world,” Michael Ivan Navarro, Pelonkey’s creative director, said in a press release. “The goal is to always present music that is as vibrant and colorful as TTT, while still allowing for a lovely evening or afternoon of dining, cocktails and conversation.”
On Fridays, female DJs from around the world will get the spotlight. On Saturday nights, DMV DJs will get a chance to show off their skills. On Sundays, a mix of DJs will play house music assembled to accompany the sunset.
And this new social distancing feature doesn’t mean you can’t meet fellow guests and DJs. “TTT will enhance this new amenity feature by adding a chat with a moderator to invite guests to communicate on screen with each other and with the DJ. The moderator will keep the conversation on tone and suited for the public. An outfacing camera will also let the DJs interact with the audience at TTT,” explained Street Guys Hospitality founder and CEO Ivan Iricanin in the press release.
Couple all that with a smoked brisket enchilada and a spicy cucumber-cilantro margarita, and you’ve got a night to remember.// 2900 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
