As home-schooling efforts continue across the state, and Fairfax County struggles to launch online learning, Educational Connection Tutoring is stepping in to help parents and students.

The Fairfax-based tutoring center’s virtual offerings give your child instruction for as little or as much time as needed. The online programs use video conferencing, document sharing and more, all led by certified instructors (75% have master’s degrees in their fields). Currently, Educational Connection Tutoring is offering three options for online support, including The Comprehensive Solution, The Daily Dose and The Six-Hour Solution.

The Comprehensive Solution is an all-hands-on-deck approach. Per the website, “Our expert learning coaches will take care of all the details of homeschooling, engaging and motivating your child to master material and get it done without your involvement.” This includes school-issued assignments and optional, ungraded work, and is for two hours a day, Monday through Friday, for $600 for 10 hours per week (billed weekly).

The Daily Dose is for one hour each day, meant to help structure your child’s day with accountability. The five-hour weekly plan can be carved into four days or three days each week, as well, instead of every weekday. This plan costs $350 for five hours per week and is billed weekly.

The Six-Hour Solution is for those looking for support on a specific subject or help with organization and staying on track. The plan provides six hours of online tutoring, to be used as needed. Meaning, students can break the sessions down into three 30-minute sessions, two 45-minute sessions, etc. per week. It costs $540 for elementary and middle school students and $600 for high school students.
