New Budget Airline to Begin Service at Dulles

Contour Airlines will offer service to two small cities beginning this spring.

By Maggie Roth February 17, 2025 at 10:44 am

Low-cost carrier Contour Airlines is set to launch service at Dulles International Airport starting May 1, the airline announced.

The Tennessee-based carrier will begin nonstop flights to Dulles from Macon, Georgia, and Plattsburgh, New York. Fares will start at $94 one-way, Contour said in a Facebook post.

Contour will offer twice-daily flights between Georgia and Plattsburgh every day except Tuesdays and Saturdays, when it will offer one flight a day, The Washington Business Journal reported. There are no other direct flights to these cities through Dulles or Reagan National Airport.

Passengers will be flown on a 30-seat Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft, WBJ reports.

Contour Airlines currently offers daily service between Macon and BWI Airport. All Contour service to BWI will end on April 30, the airline confirmed.

Similar low-cost airlines began offering flights at Dulles last year, including Frontier Airlines in November, Breeze Airways in September, and Avelo Airlines in July.
