Instagram accounts to follow for endless home design and style inspiration

Inspiration for a new home project can start as soon as we tap the heart-shaped button on these Instagrams.

By Editorial March 17, 2017 at 3:18 pm

Sometimes, just after pinning a photo to our Pinterest boards or tapping the heart-shaped button on Instagram, we can be found pushing a couch toward a new wall in our homes. Redecorating can start as quick as that. That’s why when it comes to approaching all your projects this spring, it’s not a bad idea to load up your Instagram with some eye candy by following these accounts (including a few Northern Virginians):

A Beautiful Mess

A pair of sisters run this 10-year-old blog with ample beauty, fashion, food and, of course, home inspiration. And there’s nothing messy about it. Expect lots of bright colors, particularly pink.

Happy Wednesday! @skunkboy_ is giving us a tour of her gorgeous home on the blog this morning. ✨(: @eliseabigailphoto)

Amy Rutherford

Amy Rutherford owns Old Town Alexandria home decor shop Red Barn Mercantile, and her Instagram demonstrates how to merge vintage and modern aesthetics.

Besides both having excellent taste (if I do say so myself), Studio McGee and I both share a love for Dash and Albert rugs. And John Robshaw pillows but that’s for another day. The Massena looks amazing in this room they designed. If you love Dash and Albert as much as we do then you’re in luck. They are having a President’s Day sale and we are matching the 20% discount! I will be in the store today and can help you with all your rug needs so stop on by! #myredbarn

Shannon Claire

This D.C.-based marketing professional also works as a blogger and interior designer. Follow her Instagram for earthy touches in luxe spaces.

Sharing one of my favorite designer resources today on the blog! The newly renovated @boconcept_official store is open in Georgetown, so if you’re local to DC make sure to check it out! How great are these vases?

The Home Edit

We won’t name names, but there are those who are deeply calmed by meticulous organization. This is the Instagram account for those people (cough—us).

When your pantry shelves are narrow, pick product that takes advantage of every square inch. These @oxo canisters were the perfect solution Products linked on our favorites page under shop THE feed // @liketoknow.it http://liketk.it/2qIH9 ✨ #thehomeedit #pantry #organization

Domino

The once-shuttered magazine relaunched in 2013 with new life and achingly pretty eye candy on its Instagram.

Between the floor-to-ceiling gallery wall, mismatched chairs, and inspiring use of color, it’s safe to say we’re in love with this dining room. See more of this unique home via the link in our bio! Photo by @michaelwiltbank, design by @grossypelosi #SOdomino

Resene

Giving a room new life often begins with a new coat of paint. Resene makes that case on its Instagram with eye-catching pairings with its paints.

Lauren Liess

This Great Falls decorator and blogger brings the outdoors and indoors together with her deft hand in textiles, light and color.

My Paradissi

This interior designer offers inspiration for the minimalists out there, focusing on clean lines and muted palettes.

Emily Katz

This blogger provides plenty of (dreamy) reminders that plants play just as crucial of a role in the design of a room as the furniture in it.
