Airline passengers looking to upgrade their experience will soon have a new option at Dulles International Airport. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is adding a new VIP terminal.
The facility will be the first of its kind at any of the DMV airports. The 37,000-square-foot terminal will be separate from the private jet facility and located near the airport’s cargo buildings. It will allow passengers to bypass the airport’s main terminal and concourses.

Travelers at the VIP terminal will also have access to amenities not available to other flyers. This includes a dedicated VIP parking and entrance area, private security screenings, access to special suites and lounges, personalized check-in, baggage handling services, and premium vehicle transport to the gate and aircraft.

Global airport management firm daa International will develop, lease, and operate the VIP terminal. It’s part of a handful of major updates planned for Dulles airport.
In July, President Donald Trump unveiled a $22 billion plan to overhaul the airport. The project includes building new underground tunnels, replacing the “people movers,” and replacing Concourses C and D.
