This Shenandoah Valley Airbnb Is Straight Out of a Fairytale

The “Cozy Nanny” in Mount Crawford is now booking for 2027.

Looking for a whimsical getaway? A rental property in the Shenandoah Valley is offering storybook charm. The Cozy Nanny at Stoney Lick Cottages in Mount Crawford is a charming cottage complete with adorable decorations and friendly farm animals.

The cottage, available on Airbnb, is currently booked out through 2026. However, it is accepting reservations beginning in January 2027. It can sleep up to four guests, and pets are permitted.

The little cottage is picturesque from the front. It features a stone facade, colorful faux flowers, and rocking chairs on the front patio.

Inside, there’s a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized pull-out Nordic sofa. The fairytale aesthetic includes reclaimed wood accents and vintage-inspired decor. And, while it looks rustic, it comes with modern comforts like reliable WiFi and a smart TV.

The bedroom area is tucked away from the rest of the cabin in a snug alcove with sheer white curtains.

Outside, visitors can see the property’s fenced farm animals. These include free-range chickens, Nigerian dwarf goats, and a turkey named Casper. Guests can also enjoy fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables, and there’s a backyard firepit perfect for evening entertainment.

The rental is also in close proximity to Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg, and Massanutten Resort.
