Gunston Hall Spring Festival

Underwater Egg Hunt

Your little one may be antsy for the summer season. If that’s the case, combine your annual Easter egg hunt with a quick jump in the pool at the Reston Community Center. With hundreds of eggs floating on the water and sinking to the bottom of the pool, kids of all ages will have a blast taking a dive for eggs. Kids get a goodie bag. Bluebells at the Bend

Celebrate the Virginia bluebells as you take in peak bloom at this family event. Activities include wildflower walks, crafts, live animals, live music, face painting, a moon bounce, and food. Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival

The streets of historic downtown Leesburg will be filled with incredible landscape displays and more than 125 vendors selling flowers and live plants, gardening supplies, landscaping services, outdoor living accessories, and more. Cherry Blossom Water Taxi

Cruise from Old Town Alexandria to Washington, DC, to enjoy the famous cherry blossoms. City Cruises Potomac Water Taxi offers a 45-minute water taxi from Old Town to Georgetown that passes by the Tidal Basin, so you can catch peak bloom minus the crowds. Mayors’ Fitness Challenge
Through May 13
The 3rd Annual Mayors’ Fitness Challenge in the City of Fairfax, Town of Vienna, and City of Falls Church allows participants to submit the number of minutes they exercise each week. Participants can walk, bike, hike, practice yoga, and complete more physical activities. When participation numbers and minutes are tallied and averaged, one community will take home the title of “Most Fit Community.” Register for free at web1.myvscloud.com.
