Da Dip
“When I dip, you dip, we dip.” So said the poet Freak Nasty back in 1996. At least for me, that’s never been more true than when the birria taco trend took over NoVA’s taquerias. I made some of my own last week, but now I’m ready to let someone else do the work again, so I’m heading to Little Miner Taco in Woodbridge. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
Cinema Paradiso
As much as I loved the original Twin Peaks TV show, once the mystery of “who killed Laura Palmer?” was solved, I never got around to seeing the movie follow-up. And Fire Walk With Me, showing Thursday, is just one of the many intriguing screenings coming soon at Alamo Drafthouse (marking next month’s Almost Famous and North by Northwest brunches on my calendar now!). –Kelly Kendall, editor
Spring Blooms
I’ve lived in the DMV my entire life and I’ve never heard about the plum blossoms until now. With a little bit of spring heading our way this week, it’s the perfect opportunity to head down to the mall to catch a glimpse of the blooms before the cherry blossom crowds hit next month. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor
Into the Scrum
Buzz McClain wrote up the opening home game for rugby season (Loudoun is host to one of thirteen pro teams in the U.S.) If you missed it, Old Glory D.C. plays its next home game on February 26–and after that, they won’t be back until late March. –James Finley, senior editor
