“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” began a franchise that, 47 years later, continues to inspire. On May 4, otherwise known as Star Wars Day, celebrate the legendary saga with these Northern Virginia events, including fireworks displays, trivia contests, and LEGO building activities. Star Wars Weekend

Nationals Park transforms into the ultimate Star Wars destination with three days of cosmic fun as the Nats take on the Blue Jays. Enjoy a fireworks display on Friday, collect a limited-edition X-Wing pilot bobblehead on Saturday, and there’s a beanie giveaway on Sunday. Plus, there will be caricaturists, face painters, and Star Wars–themed photo booths. Run, Walk or Roll the Greenway

Lace up for the 4th Annual Run The Greenway, featuring races for all ages including a 5K, 10K, and a Kids 1-Mile Fun Run. Star Wars Day and LEGO Build Event

Costumes are encouraged at this May the fourth be with you event at Barnes & Noble. Local authors Anna Patrick, J.A. Barrios, and Salinee Goldenberg will be present to sign books, while kids can enjoy story time, games, and LEGO building. May the Fourth Star Wars Party
