With the region officially in fall, you are probably starting to look for fun seasonal activities for the kids. While some of the region’s annual activities have been canceled due to COVID-19, those still scheduled will look a little different and include a lot of social distancing. That includes the annual Reston Farm Garden’s Fall Festival, which announced it will be returning this season.
The festival will be open on the weekends from Sept. 25-Nov. 1; with time slots running from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This year, all attendees will have to purchase a pass for a 90-minute session at the festival. In between sessions, staff will be cleaning the bounce houses and surrounding areas in order to maintain a safe environment.
“We are so excited to have been able to pivot successfully during the pandemic and equally excited to be able to offer the Fall Festival to our supportive community,” said Lowell and Bonita Weinstein, owners of the Reston Farm Garden Market, in a press release.
While at the annual celebration, guests can jump around on several moon bounces, visit the goats at the petting zoo and take a ride on the Reston Farm Garden Market Express. As the kids are having fun, parents can visit the market to browse local flowers, fresh produce and other farm-fresh goodies.
The market has also put COVID-19 safety practices in place to ensure the health and safety of all visitors. This includes a limited number of people during each time slot, temperature checks prior to entry and masks for those 10 and older. // Reston Farm Market: 10800 Baron Cameron Ave., Reston; $20 per child, $5 per additional adult/guardian, free for children under 2
