With COVID-19 shutdowns and increased social distancing came the resurgence of the drive-in. From drive-in movies to drive-in theater performances, these events have allowed people to enjoy their daily activities, while staying safe. Now get ready for a drive-in concert as the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services hosts Live from the Lot with The Reagan Years.
The live outdoor concert with the Best of NoVA winners will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Segra Field parking lot. The performance will start at 7 p.m., with gates opening for attendees at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $50 per vehicle and are on sale until Oct. 1.
When arriving at the drive-in concert venue, there will be a space between each car to ensure proper distancing. Audio from the performance will be delivered through speakers placed throughout the lot and FM transmitters. When the concert starts, attendees can watch and listen to the show from their car, their tailgate, or from lawn chairs and blankets within their designated parking spot. No tailgating activities, like games and grilling, will be allowed on the property.
During the event, concertgoers can grab refreshments from the food and beverage garden that will be full of local food trucks. All alcoholic beverages purchased will have to stay in the designated food garden area.
When it comes to safety, the Loudoun County PRCS has ensured that the concert follows all local and national health guidelines, including the Forward Virginia Phase Three Guidelines and the guidelines from the CDC. Concertgoers will need to maintain social distancing and wear face coverings when outside of their vehicle. // 42095 Loudoun United Drive, Leesburg
