
It’s been a hard time for sports fans. Hockey has been canceled. Both March Madness and professional basketball are canceled. Baseball’s opening day has been pushed back.
But those who are missing watching their favorite sports and attending the games to will be happy to hear that there will be games to watch starting Saturday, March 21. They’ll just look a little different.
Video game simulations of Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games will air on NBC Sports Washington and online. The games will be one-hour each and will air in place of previously scheduled NBA and NHL games.
The games will be simulated through Take-Two Interactive’s NBA 2K20 and EA Sports’ NHL 20, in an attempt to make the games look as real as possible.
The first NBA game, featuring the Washington Wizards, will air on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m., versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The Washington Capitals will play the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m.
To watch the games, head to NBC Sports Washington’s website or Monument Sports. The games will also be available on apps through iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Xbox.
