Whether or not you’re an artist, paint-and-sip classes are for everyone. Just grab a canvas, brush, and wine glass and you’re set for an amazing night with friends. Here are seven local studios to check out in NoVA.

Wine & Design

With locations in Alexandria, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, and Stafford, as well as two other studios across Virginia, Wine & Design offers two-hour classes where you get to enjoy a glass of wine and paint a masterpiece. The studio provides the glasses, canvases, and paintbrushes as a local artist guides you through the class. Wine & Design: Locations and prices vary

Muse Paintbar

Find fun, themed paint nights at Muse Paintbar in Arlington, Gainesville, Woodbridge, and in Fairfax’s Mosaic District. Painting subjects include seasonal scenes, your own pet, sunsets, exotic animals, plants, and more. Muse Paintbar: Locations and prices vary

Pinot’s Palette

Sample wines as you get creative and socialize with your friends in Pinot’s Palette’s Herndon location. Guests 21 and over can enjoy tasting featured wines and beers available for purchase to take home. The studio also sells meat, cheese, crackers, and chocolates if you want to have a full spread as you paint. Pinot’s Palette-Dulles: 12976 Highland Crossing Dr., Ste. D, Herndon; $25 to $50

AR Workshop

What started as an Etsy shop quickly evolved into a DIY workshop studio brand for home decor and other creative outlets. Alexandria is AR Workshop’s first Mid-Atlantic location and makes crafting easy for all skill levels. Most adult projects range from $50 to $85 and guests are able to customize their work with multiple paint color choices. AR Workshop also provides complimentary wine and beer to participants and allows small snacks to be brought in. AR Workshop: 107 N. Fairfax Dr., Alexandria; $50 to $85

Fun With Canvas

A glass of red or white wine, soda, or bottled water is included in your paint-and-sip classes at Fun With Canvas. Paint classes are held on Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as some Sundays. Each class is different as the artwork subjects change based on the theme of the evening. The studio also offers mobile classes for any celebration. Fun With Canvas: 7008 Tech Cir., Manassas; starting at $15

Board & Brush

Head to Board & Brush to paint wooden signs instead of traditional blank canvases. The instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops include sanding, staining, painting, and customizing the wooden pieces, as well as wine, of course. Board & Brush: 11215 Lee Hwy., Ste. J, Fairfax; 43150 Broadlands Center Plz., Ste. 104, Ashburn; $37- to $70

The Painted Tiger Art Studio

Express yourself through art at this Leesburg studio. With paint and wine workshops, kids classes, and birthday parties, you can add a beautiful painting to any significant moment in your life. Each workshop comes with two complimentary glasses of wine, bottled water or cups of tea, along with all of the supplies to create your own work of art. 108 South St. SE, Ste. 108B, Leesburg
