Arlington lovers of The Bard of Avon and/or the Prohibition Era, rejoice: Crystal City’s Synetic Theater is presenting an “Arlington Night” showing of its hit comedy “Twelfth Night” this Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Synetic Theater, whose name comes from a combination of “synthesis” and “kinetic“, is known for its physical and unique portrayals of classic dramatic works. The award-winning theater company’s version of Shakespeare’s classic tale of love and disguise is set in the 1920s and features no dialogue–that’s right, Synetic will be presenting this comedy using only Jazz Age music and movement. To top things off, the star of this Synetic performance is none other than one of the co-founders of the Theater herself, Irina Tsikurishvili.
Wednesday’s performance of “Twelfth Night” will feature a discounted ticket price of $25 for Arlington residents (I.D. with Arlington address must be shown) and a pre-show happy hour reception at the Crystal City Marriott.
