A Mother’s Day brunch is always a winner. But this year, pair the outing with an interactive Mother’s Day activity in Northern Virginia. Options include goat yoga, painting, flower arranging, and more. Most are for all ages, and great way to treat the mom in your life to a fun outing.

Mother’s Day Crafting Event at Craftspace

May 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Craftspace in Chantilly is hosting an afternoon for kids and moms to create a customized keepsake craft. The registration fee includes supplies for your craft and an option to create a free Mother’s Day card. 3675 Concorde Pkwy., Chantilly, $30

Mother’s Day Flower Workshop

May 3, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Enjoy an afternoon creating a flower arrangement while sipping on Morais wine. Tickets include a complimentary glass while you arrange your flowers, a full bottle of either Chardonnay, Merlot, or Rose Doce, and all the fresh florals and materials needed to create your bouquet. Mother’s Day Chocolate Sculpting Experience

Mother’s Day Weekend Morning Retreat: Forest Bathing, Stories & Tea

May 9, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Potomac Overlook Regional Park is hosting a Zen morning. Start with forest bathing — a Japanese practice involving immersing yourself in nature as you journal. Then, continue with a less than 1-mile walk, and end with tea and snacks, all led by a certified nature therapy guide and story weaving facilitator. Mother’s Day Painting Party

May 9, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Mother’s Day with Mary Kay

May 9, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Mary Kay consultants will be at Shipgarten during the afternoon of Saturday, May 9, giving skin analyses to help guests find their ideal foundation. Mom’s Day 5K

May 10, 9 a.m.

If mom loves running, take her out for a Mom’s Day 5K at Bolen Park in Leesburg. The race is part of the Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services Run Your Parks Race Series. Mother’s Day Goat Yoga

May 10, 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

Head to Little Goat Farm at the Lake for this yoga class. Guests can enjoy mini goats wandering in and out of the mats. No yoga experience is needed — just come ready to cuddle some adorable goats. The class is recommended for ages 10 or older. 8954 Burwell Rd., Nokesville, $42.39
