Loudoun County Farm Adds a Pick-Your-Own Tulip Experience

The farm will also have daffodils available for picking.

If you can’t wait for all things spring, then it’s time to start planning for tulip picking. And there’s a new field to visit. Great Country Farms announced that it is adding a pick-your-own tulip experience to its spring festival lineup.

This will be the first season that the Bluemont farm has tulip picking as part its new Bluemont in Bloom event. Based on the planting schedule, the farm is looking to have its tulips ready the last two weeks of April. This is the only pick-your-own tulip experience in Loudoun County.

“We’ve planted THOUSANDS of tulips and cannot wait to share our colorful fields with you all for some Spring fun and photo opportunities,” Great Country Farms said in a recent social media post.

Guests will be able to take a wagon down to the flower fields to cut colorful stems and take photos with the Instagramable installations. Daffodils will also be available for picking. Visitors can also see cherry blossom blooms minus the crazy DC crowds.

The farm will not be pre-selling tulip picking times. Guests will be able to purchase general farm festival admission. Prices for flowers have yet to be announced.

The property will also host its Easter Egg Hunt from March 19 to April 4, and the adult version at The Henway Cider Barn on March 28 and April 4. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be on March 21, 28, and April 4, and the Strawberry Jubilee Fest starting May 23.
