Celebrate Fall Fun at Haymarket Day

This hometown festival includes a parade, Kids Zone, and live music.

By Debbie Williams October 16, 2025 at 7:00 am

If you’re looking for hometown fall fun, Haymarket Day may just fit the bill. The theme for this year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, October 18, is “Haymarket Homecoming!” Organizers say it will celebrate the pride, traditions, and spirit that make Haymarket “Everyone’s Hometown.”

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a parade featuring more than 35 local organizations. The parade will begin at the QBE lot and end at Jefferson Street. Prime spectator viewing areas are in front of the Town Park and Haymarket Baptist Church.

Families can enjoy the Kids Zone at the park, complete with moon bounces, a petting zoo, obstacle course, and rides. More than 300 vendors will also be on hand selling food, drink, crafts, and other seasonal items.

Live entertainment will include performances by Contemporary Music Center, Cowpoke, and Eclectic Company at Town Hall. School of Rock, Curt & Rob, and Jagged Edge will perform at the QBE lot. There will be two beer gardens, one at each stage location.

Parking is available at Tyler Elementary School and at the Healthcote Blvd Park and Ride. Shuttles will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tyler Elementary, Haymarket Elementary, and the VDOT commuter lot.
