Sample Virginia Vintages at the Bull Run Wine Festival

The two-day tasting event will feature more than 20 wineries.

If you’re looking to sip and sample some of Virginia’s premier wines, add this event to your calendar. The Bull Run Wine Festival is returning to The Winery at Bull Run on October 18 and 19.

More than 20 Virginia wineries will offer tastings as the festival, which is held in partnership with the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association. They include Barboursville Vineyards, Early Mountain Vineyards, Vint Hill Craft Winery, Morais Vineyards & Winery, Fabbioli Cellars, Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery, Toll Gate Farm & Vineyards, 8 Chains North Winery, The Estate at White Hall Vineyard, and Mattaponi Winery. Ono Brewing Company is the featured brewery.

Several food trucks — including Cheesesteak Love and Four Guys — will be selling burgers, pizza, seafood, and snacks. The live music schedule includes performances by DM Shift, Moonstone Duo, Rock Richards, and On Tap Band. And a dozen local craft vendors will be selling their wares at the artisan market.

General admission is $55 and includes a complimentary wine glass and tasting pass. VIP tickets are $125 per person. They include early access, special pours from winery partners, and a tour of The Winery at Bull Run’s production facility.

The festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. each day. It will proceed rain or shine (activities are designed to be comfortably sheltered). 15950 Route 29, Centreville
