Workhouse Arts Center Adds an Art-Themed Mini Golf Course to Its Campus

The 18-hole course showcases the work of Michelangelo, Claude Monet, and Banksy.

Mini golf season has arrived. You can’t go wrong with many of the region’s courses. And a new one in Lorton is infused with bright colors and creativity. Masterpiece Mini Golf, Workhouse Arts Center’s new course, is now open for summer play.

The art-themed course features 18 holes. Each is themed with art history’s greatest paintings. They include Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, Claude Monet’s Water Lilies, and Banky’s Balloon Girl.

Tim Grant, a Workhouse resident artist, designed the course, along with other local artists and craftsmen. It will also feature educational facts and interactive installations throughout the holes.

Golfers can pick up their essentials at the clubhouse between buildings W9 and W10. The clubhouse is where you’ll grab your putter, golf balls, and any necessary snacks and drinks — and also pay for your game.

Tickets are $8 for nine holes and $15 for 18 holes. The full 18-hole course opens on Friday, June 13. Masterpiece Mini Golf is first-come first-served. If the course is full when you arrive, you will be added to a wait list at the clubhouse.

The seasonal course is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Masterpiece Mini Golf is also open during Workhouse’s Second Saturday open houses. 9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton
