If you’re looking for the chance to celebrate Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors, you’re in luck. Two Fairfax locations are hosting events on Saturday, April 26.

Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates the start of spring. People celebrate by throwing colored powders and water, which creates a vibrant scene. The Festival of Colors is celebrated across Hindu countries like India and around the world.

Holi at Mosaic District

5–7 p.m.

Meet in Strawberry Park in front of Target for this free event.

Mosaic says that, “Following the overwhelming success of last year’s event, we are bringing back the festivities with even more excitement. Get ready for an evening filled with authentic Indian flavors, great music, dancing, cocktails and festivities.”

The colored powder that will fill the air will be washable and nontoxic. Organizers suggest you wear white clothing (but maybe not your finest whites). 2910 District Ave., Fairfax, free

Bull Run Special Events Center Festival of Colors

Noon–7 p.m.

Bull Run is hosting its 10th Festival of Colors celebration that organizers say is “all about spirituality, community, love, and diversity.”

In addition to the throwing of colors, the event will feature a DJ, interactive dance performances, a variety of international food, a full bar, hookah lounge, and kid activities. 7700 Bull Run Dr., Centreville, tickets start at $12
