44 NoVA Bars Hosting Commanders Watch Parties on Sunday

Local bars are jumping on to celebrate this crazy Commanders playoff run.

By Michele Kettner January 23, 2025 at 2:04 pm

What a playoff run it has been for the Washington Commanders. Last weekend, the team upset the No.1 seeded Detroit Lions to move on to the NFC Conference Championship game. The Burgundy and Gold will be taking on division foes, the Philadelphia Eagles, this Sunday, January 26, at 3 p.m. The winner will compete for the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX.

While some people like to enjoy the game from the comfort and quiet of their own homes, others will want to celebrate the playoff run at area watch parties, cheering with other Commanders fans. If you are part of the later, join one of these watch parties in and around Northern Virginia.

Arlington Drafthouse

If you’re looking to watch the game on the biggest screen you can find, head to Arlington Drafthouse & Cinema. Admission is free, and don’t be late, or you might be sitting close to the front. Guests must be 21 and over unless accompanied by a parent. 2903 Columbia Pk., Arlington

Old Ox Brewery

The Redskins alumni marching band and cheerleaders are back to hype up the crowd at this Ashburn brewery. The pre-game show starts at 2:30 p.m., so arrive early and grab a drink before the action starts. Customers will be able to order shareables from the kitchen and smoked meats from Smokehouse BBQ, along with a full menu of beer, wine, and cocktails. 44652 Guilford Dr., Ste. 114, Ashburn

Settle Down Easy Brewing – The Oakton Tasting Room

A table full of apps and drinks is a must on game day. This Oakton Brewery is offering a handful of deals starting at 2:30 p.m., including 50 wings and four sauces for $75, and $5 pints of all flagship beers. 10344 Miller Rd., Oakton

Shipgarten

No matter where you sit at Shipgarten, you are almost guaranteed a great view of the game.  The space will include two, 155-inch TV walls, six additional TVs, and three indoor projectors. Plus, the sound will be on throughout the match. 7581 Colshire Dr., McLean

The Block

You can find free drinks at this Annandale food hall. Just make sure to wear a jersey to get your free pint. You can score a second free pint if your team picks up a victory on Sunday. This deal applies to both conference championship games. 4221 John Marr Dr., Annandale
