If you’re a lover of art or Legos, this upcoming exhibit will have you mesmerized. The Art of the Brick will be making its DC debut when the traveling exhibit opens in January.
Created by artist Nathan Sawaya, the exhibit — dubbed “The World’s Most Famous LEGO Art Exhibition” — will open its doors on January 30 at the Rhode Island Center in Washington, DC.

With more than 130 sculptures crafted from more than 1 million Lego pieces, visitors will marvel at what can be created with those little toys from your childhood. Visitors can expect to spend at least an hour roaming through sculptures of all sizes.
Named a CNN Top 10 “Global Must-See Exhibition,” pieces include recreations of Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, as well as a 20-foot T-Rex skeleton.
Tickets start at $15.90 for children ages 4 to 17, $20.90 for adults, and are free for children under 4. Group bundles will also be available for parties of at least eight people. Student tickets start at $17.90.
Tickets go on sale to the public on December 17 at 11 a.m. Or, you can join the waitlist to receive early access to purchase. Rhode Island Center: 524 Rhode Island Ave. NE, Washington, DC
