Cold Comfort
Ever since I first encountered Mashti Malone’s in LA back in the early aughts, I’ve been at the sweet mercy of Persian ice cream. I’m so excited that NoVA has a new local brand, so I’m going to drop by Amoo’s Restaurant to pick up a pint of saffron, pistachio, and rose-flavored dessert from Kinrose Creamery.  –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic

Lights, Camera, Action!
One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is to head to the movies. Whether with friends or by myself, I love heading to the theater to catch the latest flick. While I have only been to the movies three times since the pandemic started, I thought this week it would be best to take advantage of the outdoor movie before the end of summer. So, I’m stuffing the cooler full of snacks and heading over to Adams Morgan for their weekly movie nights to catch Wonder Woman 1984 for the umpteenth time. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor

Walking It Off
Having just moved to Vienna from Philadelphia, I’m excited to get back to nature, and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, from our recent things to do feature, seems like a pretty great place to start. Unless it rains, in which case I may stay home and order pizza while unpacking. –James Finley, senior editor
