New Yarn Shop Entangled Opens in Falls Church

The store will stock eco-conscious yarns and provide classes and workshops.

Knitters, rejoice: A new yarn store, Entangled, opens on Saturday, September 6, in Falls Church. The shop, located at 103 Rowell Ct., will offer an extensive selection of materials and specialize in eco-conscious yarns.

The veteran- and woman-owned establishment is founded by Kelly Schnapp. She hopes Entangled will serve as a community hub for creativity and connection. “From our first pop-up events to preparing the brick-and-mortar space, the community has offered nothing but encouragement,” Schnapp said in a release. “I want to send the message that community is at the heart of Entangled.”

Entangled will carry Expression Fiber Arts yarn for in-person purchase; it was previously only available online. The store will also stock 69 colors of traceable American Shetland wool, perfect for Fair Isle knitting.

Customers can also find a complete range of hooks and needles. Plus, inspiration cards are available to help knitters and crocheters of all levels turn their ideas into finished projects.

Beyond retail, Entangled will host regular classes and workshops. The first session, Beginner Knitting with Gwen, will be held on September 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. And the store’s “idea room” provides a dedicated space where customers can brainstorm projects, seek advice, or enjoy the company of fellow fiber artists.
