Tysons Corner Barnes & Noble Set to Reopen in June

Bestselling author and NoVA resident David Baldacci will cut the ribbon at the grand opening.

By Michele Kettner May 30, 2025 at 11:17 am

It’s been more than a year since Tysons Corner Center shoppers have been able to browse the bookshelves at the mall’s Barnes & Noble. But the wait is almost over. The Tysons Corner Barnes & Noble will hold its grand opening on June 18.

The celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. with an appearance and book signing by David Baldacci. The bestselling author and NoVA resident will cut the ribbon before book lovers stream into the new store. A book signing for his new release, Strangers in Time, will be held after the ceremony.

Last May, the mall’s original Barnes & Noble location closed after 19 years. The new storefront is located on the first floor, across from H&M. Readers who frequented the original Tysons Corner bookstore will notice the store’s scaled down footprint – the new location is less than 17,000 square feet. But, you’ll still be able to find all of your favorite sections, including an upgraded B&N Café.

Three other author signings will also take place during the store’s opening day. Signing sessions include April Hunt at noon, Jodi Meadows and Nashae Jones at 3 p.m., and Angie Kim at 5 p.m. The store already has 11 more author signings scheduled through mid-July.
