Introducing The Alexandria Style Book

 

The contributors of The Alexandria Stylebook recently launched an all-encompassing lifestyle guide called “The Style Book.” Editor Christen Kinard explains that the idea was to bring different aspects like fashion, beauty, wellness and design and combine these with a local connection by including local expert contributors already known in the NoVA community. “The contributors are leaders in our neighborhood, and that brings legitimacy to it,” Kinard explains. Kinard, along with a team of local entrepreneurs from known local businesses like The Shoe Hive, Kiskadee, DC Style Factory, The Tulle Box, Bellacara, Coco Blanca, Fitness on the Run and Mind the Mat, decided to create a publication that all women, especially local, could relate to for years to come. “This book is meant to be timeless,” Kinard explains. The book itself consists of 135 pages of design tips, professional profiles, interviews and tutorials. Readers can find various sections like style tips from industry insiders for every age, makeup essentials for different seasons, tutorials on everything from how to perfectly contour your face and how to create the perfect winged eye, interior design tips for your home and even simple workout techniques.
