There are some industries that benefit more from in-person interactions. Wine and craft beer is one of them. The ability to pick up a bottle or can, to taste what is being sampled, or to talk directly with knowledgeable staff is an experience all on its own, before even bringing your selection home. So how do we adapt when a global pandemic makes all these experiences difficult if not impossible for some?
The Wine Outlets kept our doors open for those who still craved the authentic in-store interactions and also responded immediately by giving all customers the ability to order all our products (wine, craft beer, cheese, frozen meats, snacks, sweets and more) online, without changing our prices points. We are the only neighborhood wine shop that is able to maintain great prices, with small store service, while also providing a fully functional e-commerce site both online and through an app, as well as within 10 miles of all of our stores!

Keeping all three of our stores open (Great Falls, McLean and Vienna), while meeting every health and safety standard, makes us available to any customer who wants to interact in person to stock up on old favorites or explore new options with our expert staff. Many industries will never be the same again, but we wanted to ensure that our struggles were not passed onto our customers. So, we adapted quickly to meet new needs by creating a website that lets customers flow between shopping in-store to online or through our app with the same experiences they have come to love.

Our hours remained the same, our staff continued to answer calls and emails promptly to provide advice on specific products and questions, and we amped up our digital communications with customers so that no matter how you choose to shop, we can meet your needs. We also create fresh content weekly on our products through our blog, YouTube channel, social media and in emails. By hosting live video calls with winemakers, brewmasters and our distributor partners to taste new products, we were able to create a semblance of the normal wine and beer buying experience virtually.

While we continue to bring in tried and true favorites, we also actively seek out new or recently discovered smaller wineries and breweries to delight our customers. As a small business we look to support other small businesses and enjoy bringing our customers rare finds. Check out our website and sign up for our newsletter to learn about the new products we bring in and all our events and special offers!
