March Madness is just weeks away, and George Mason’s women’s basketball team is on a roll. The Patriots have won the team’s first regular season conference title in program history.
The team secured a co-share of the Atlantic 10 regular season championship title. They finished the season with a 16-2 record during conference play and an overall record of 21-8. They share the 2025-26 title with the Rhode Island Rams, who ended the season with the same record.
This is the first time the women’s basketball team has had three consecutive 20-win seasons.
A-10 Tournament
George Mason enters the A-10 conference tournament as the No. 2 seed and are looking to win back-to-back championships. The tournament kicks off on March 4 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center in Glen Allen.
After securing a double bye, George Mason won’t play its first tournament game until the quarterfinals on Friday, March 6. The team will take on either Dayton University or George Washington University at 5 p.m. The game will be available to watch on USA Network.
If GMU wins, they’ll play in the semifinals on Saturday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The finals of the A-10 tournament will be held on Sunday, March 8, at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
With the A-10 tournament being held within an hour-and-a-half drive from the Fairfax campus, fans also have the opportunity to cheer on the team in person. General admission tickets are $90 to access tournament sessions or $25 per session. All printed tickets will need to be either picked up from the George Mason Athletic Ticket Office.
The team will also be hosting a pregame pep rally inside the arena an hour before the start of each game. Pep rally tickets are a flat fee of $15 for all George Mason tournament games.
Men’s Team Standings
The women’s basketball team isn’t the only one lighting up the court this season. The Patriots’ men’s basketball team currently sits at No. 5 in the A-10 standings with a 10-7 conference record and an overall record of 22-8.
The team’s final regular season game is Saturday, March 7, at 4 p.m. The Patriots will take on the conference leading Saint Louis Billikens.
