Two Virginia ABC stores are permanently closing in Arlington, ARLNow reported. The stores are located in Crystal City and just off Langston Boulevard.
The store at 320 23rd St. S. in Crystal City will remain open through February 14. The other location at 2507 N. Harrison St. in the Lee Harrison Shopping Center will close on March 14.
Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority spokesperson Pat Kane told ARLNow that the Crystal City closure was because there were “already several Virginia ABC stores in the vicinity.”
Following these two closures, seven ABC stores will remain open in Arlington. The closest locations to the Crystal City store are at 1301 S. Joyce St. and 2955 S. Glebe Rd., each about 1.5 miles away. The closest to the Lee Harrison location is at 4709 Langston Blvd., also about 1.5 miles away.
