As Wawa convenience stores continue to open in D.C., the company says it is looking to add more locations into Fairfax County and other areas of Northern Virginia, possibly adapting its store model to gain access to those areas. Wawa says it plans to announce openings in NoVA in the near future.

The federal government is on track to shut down at midnight after President Donald Trump threatened to veto the Senate-approved bill that would have funded the government until Feb. 8, but did not include funds for a border wall. A House bill is being proposed with funds for the wall, but is not expected to pass.

United Airlines is making holiday travel less stressful for people flying into Dulles International Airport by having dogs greet them at the gates. The dogs will be at the airport for three shifts a day leading up to Christmas.

Three separate bank robberies were reported in Fairfax County on Thursday. The first took place Thursday morning at a BB&T Bank in Rose Hill, another at a Bank of America in Springfield and the third at a SunTrust in Lorton. Police ask people to reach out if they have any information.
